Portion of Grand Prize already marked for non-profit organizations.

/Minnesota News Articles/ - SAINT PAUL, MN, August 07, 2008 - Kvale Good Natured Games, an inventor, publisher and distributor of earth-friendly board games in Saint Paul, is selected as a semi-finalist in the second annual Forbes.com "Boost Your Business" contest. An estimated 1,500 entrepreneurs across the nation submitted 500-word business plans this year. Good Natured Games is 1 of 20 businesses for this next round in an effort to win the $100,000 grand prize.

Upon learning the news, company founder Tony Kvale reported, "This has been a blessed few weeks for our family business. We've had a surprising number of off-season orders for our eco games, and now we learn that we have an opportunity to present our newest business plan to a national audience." The fast-growing company also discovered it was voted "Best Eco Kids Products" in the July 2008 issue of Minnesota Parent magazine.

Semi-finalists in the contest created a 30-second video serving as an "elevator pitch" for their business. The 20 videos can be viewed by the public at www.forbes.com/byb where site visitors will vote to determine the Top 5 Finalists. The Final Round includes a twenty minute presentation by the remaining candidates to a judging panel, including detailed business plans. Co-sponsored by HP, the 4 runners-up win an HP Compaq 2730p Business Notebook and an HP OfficeJet Pro 7600 All-In-One.

Kvale Good Natured Games entered the market on November 18, 2006, with its first eco-friendly product, the Head1Liners game. The company's best-selling product is made with authentic sustainable methods and materials, and is a mainstream creative play concept about writing fun news headlines rather than a game about environmentalism. The company also distributes games about animals, planetary adventures and an award-winning nature trivia game, Bioviva, that includes fascinating science facts and ideas for reducing one's impact on the planet.

The company's business plan in the Forbes.com contest describes a new game concept even more accessible to mass markets, yet with bolder eco materials. Adds Kvale, "People will instantly see the new game as easy and fun, and instantly appreciate the novel use of recycled materials." Full game details will be disclosed in the Finalist round, and plans include a party version for teens and adults and a junior version for tweenies.

Kvale games are sold to green shops, gift stores, natural markets, toy shops and book shops across the country. Its eco board games are also available online at www.HeadlineGame.com or by phone at toll- free 866-254-1276.
