Electrical Engineer and former MedNet Corporation founder and President joins a growing ECI team


    /Minnesota News Articles/ - LONG LAKE, MN, September 18, 2008 - Efficient Creation Innovations, Inc. (ECI) has named David Matthews as Technical Specialist, responsible for all aspects of the electrical engineering design of the Lifetime LED TM family of lighting devices.

Troy R. Broitzman, the Founder and CEO of ECI, said, "Dave's unique background and expertise in design for manufacturability will ensure the quality of ECI's product line for years to come".

David Mathews is an electrical engineer with over 35 years of experience designing state of the art devices with an emphasis on system reliability.

Most recently, for the last 15 years Dave has been the founder and President of the MedNet Corporation, which specializes in the design and manufacturing of interferential muscle and nerve stimulators to treat the large back pain market.

Prior to that, Dave was the Vice President of Engineering at Medical Devices Incorporated where he oversaw the development of the new product line of electrical stimulators incorporating a combination of surface mount technologies and injected molded parts.

Early in his career, spanning a period of approximately 15 years, Dave worked for multiple defense contractors including the Bendix Corporation, Control data Inc., and TSI's Defense Products Group where he was part of the design teams which developed such products as wind sensors for the Army's M1 tanks, flow sensors for the Navy's Trident submarines, particle sensors for use in the space shuttles, and development of the early Cray computers.

Dave is a 1969 graduate of Rockhurst College where he earned his Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and resides in the Minneapolis area with his wife of 35 years Mary Anne.
