Walser Subaru Presents Burnsville, Minnesota Mayor with LEED Certificate
Walser Subaru of Burnsville is Minnesota's first LEED certified dealership. With the help of Burnsville the building gained the LEED certification. Don Schilling presented Burnsville's mayor with certificate of recognition for its support.

BLOOMINGTON, MN, March 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Walser Subaru thanked the mayor and the city of Burnsville for its support in building Walser Subaru, the city's first LEED certified building. Don Schilling, Director of Facilities for Walser Automotive Group presented Burnsville, Minnesota Mayor Elizabeth Kautz with a certificate of recognition for the city's help throughout the construction of the building.

The Walser Subaru building opened its doors in November of 2008 and achieved LEED certification for its water and energy efficiency, site selection, material use and a other environmentally conscious practices. The dealership is the only LEED Certified Subaru dealership in the United States and the first LEED certified dealership in Minnesota. The certification is awarded by the U.S. Green Building council (USGBC).

Minneapolis car dealership Walser Automotive Group operates nine car dealerships in the Twin Cities area. The company is a member of the Minnesota Keystone Program and donates 5% of pre-tax earnings to Twin Cities community programs through the Walser Foundation.
