PebbleGo, Emergent Reader Database, Selected as SIIA CODiE Awards Finalist
Capstone Digital, developer of personalized learning environments for students, has been named a finalist for the 2011 CODiE Awards for its PebbleGo research databases: PebbleGo Animals and PebbleGo Earth and Space.

MANKATO, MN, April 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Capstone Digital, developer of personalized learning environments for students, has been named a finalist for the 2011 CODiE Awards for its PebbleGo research databases: PebbleGo Animals and PebbleGo Earth and Space. PebbleGo is a finalist in the Best Education Reference Solution category which "recognizes the service that best packages reference, library, or research information for educational purposes in the K-12 or postsecondary markets."

PebbleGo offers two PreK-3 online research databases that employ reading scaffolding techniques to strengthen emergent reader's literacy capabilities and research skills through audio supports, easy-to-read articles, and a child-friendly interface. Launched in 2009, PebbleGo Animals was the first database of its kind featuring text specifically leveled for a K-3 student. PebbleGo Earth and Space was introduced in May 2010. A third database, PebbleGo Biographies, is set for release in June 2011.

They are a peer-reviewed awards program held annually by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). Winners will be announced at the SIIA Ed Tech Industry Summit, May 22-24 in San Francisco.
