Indigo Identityware Announces Windows 7 Functionality with VDI
"Capability" versus "compatibility" of workflow support for Win 7

However, although many solutions claim to be "compatible" with Win 7, that is far different than having Win 7 "capabilities". Indigo Identityware's Windows XP capabilities, including generic/kiosk fast user-switching and roaming desktops are installed and function on Windows 7, including virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI).

Generic Desktops/Kiosk
Indigo's credential provider for Win 7 knows who each user is when they authenticate to a workstation. With Indigo, there is no need to associate a password with each user or select a user from a dropdown list. One touch of a biometric reader or one tap of a proximity card with a PIN is all that is required for secure access on a virtual Kiosk (generic) desktop with Indigo.

Indigo's fast user-switching is used at workstations that are shared by multiple users. Users are able to quickly log on and off to meet the fast-paced, high-demand setting that often accompanies shared workstation environments. User information is saved and individual user activity is logged for audit reporting.

Roaming Desktops
Indigo's identity manager always knows exactly who you are, where you are in your workflow and allows instant access to your applications in any virtual environment including Citrix, VMware or RDP Terminal Services. Indigo's proprietary architecture relates your authentication directly to your specific virtual desktop and your specific user credentials, ensuring instant access regardless of where you authenticate within your enterprise.

Remote Strong Authentication & Single Sign-on
Indigo offers users the same strong authentication and enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) capabilities that they enjoy inside their enterprise, while working remotely. Using the cloud and a VPN or internet connection, Indigo's unique solution allows users secure access to their desktop and/or authorized applications from a remote location without Indigo's full software suite loaded on the remote workstation.
