Regional Workforce Summit in Mitchell to be attended by Governor Daugaard

MITCHELL, SD, November 04, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A Regional Workforce Summit will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. The summit will be held at the Tech Center on the Mitchell Technical Institute I-90 Campus. The summit will highlight the James River Valley Corridors surplus of available jobs..

Featured speakers for the day will include: Governor Dennis Daugaard and author and economic development expert Mark Lautman. Additionally, the summit will cover State & Local Workforce Demographics, a CEO Panel, Workforce Education and Training,and a Best Practices panel.

According to Bryan Hisel, "Workforce is the number one economic development issue we face today and will be for the next 25 years." This summit offers a chance for private and public sectors to work together on solutions for increasing workforce.
